Rescue + Recovery Tour launches.

With much-awaited fanfare and celebration, the Fall 2009 Invisible Children Roadies set out Wednesday on the Rescue + Recovery Tour. Over 10 weeks, 15 tours, and 1300+ screenings, hundreds of thousands of lives will be impacted.

Before leaving, the Roadies heard from IC founder Jason Russell, who recited Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 1963 speech, “Keep On Moving”, urging them to maintain constant progress in their quest to bring Joseph Kony’s soldiers home and end the longest-running war in Africa. For updates on their progress, or to look for a screening in your area, visit Invisible Children’s website. If you’re interested in booking a screening, click here. But it’s gonna be pretty awkward if it’s just you and the Roadies in front of your mom’s plasma screen, so you better start inviting people now.

With this tour, IC hopes to reach more people than ever before, and channel greater momentum for “The LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act“. Peace is possible, and we need you to help us amplify this message.
