Children that have been subject to extreme physical and psychological violence at such a young age need special care to overcome their trauma. So this holiday season, we’re celebrating a new kind of gift: Play Therapy Kits for children recovering from the trauma of LRA violence and abduction. At the Children of War Rehabilitation Center (a project funded by Invisible Children and implemented by our partner organization, World Vision Uganda) children are given Play Therapy Kits to help them cope with and understand their overwhelming experiences. Each kit is budgeted to provide essential materials in the children’s art, music, dance, and drama therapy program.
