TGIF, y’all. We couldn’t think of anyone better than Jen from The Jane Doze to jump on the metaphorical decks today to curate our second installment of weekend floorfillers.

Turn on, endure the remaining hours of your work/school day, and jumpstart your weekend.

Launch the player [HERE] or stream below:

01 MAX FROST – “White Lies” :: couldn’t think of a better track to kick off an upbeat weekend mix. this song can best be described as “pop-funk” – littered with crunchy synth hits and a funky bass line. you’ll be dancing in your chair. that’s a fact.

02. ASTR – “Razor” :: introducing the mysterious NYC duo known as ASTR. the lyrics and overall instrumentation are fairly dark, but the hook is irresistible. good luck getting it out of your head.

03. KATE BOY – “The Way We Are” :: this is the latest track from Sweden-based Kate Boy. i was pulled in by the track’s unique production combined with the singer’s assertive vocals — when it comes to dark electronica pop, this group crushes.

04. BETTY WHO – “High Society” :: – i’m calling it now, friends….THIS is the track of the summer. at least for anyone who has a clue. THE HOOK! THOSE 80S VIBES! THAT SYNTH LINE! what more can i say? just start dancing now.

05. KELJET + X AMBASSADORS – “Love of a Life” :: I’ve been a long-time fan of  the Brooklyn-based band X Ambassadors, so when they teamed up with Dutch indie-disco duo Keljet, I anticipated stellar results. One thing to note…the falsetto vocals are everything.

06. TEGAN AND SARA – “Closer” (Sultan & Ned Shepard Remix) :: Tegan & Sara’s Heartthrob is easily one of my favorite records of 2013. Sultan & Ned Shepard are one of my favorite production duos. Combine the two = magic. Basically they “club-ified” the original in an incredibly tasteful way — which means we’ve definitely been spinning it during our recent sets.

07. NIKKI WILLIAMS – “Glowing” :: I had seen Nikki’s name pop up on various blogs since 2012 but hadn’t listened for whatever reason. However, when Fedde Le Grand dropped his remix of the track I was instantly hooked and sought out the original. This is bubblegum electro-pop and it’s finest.

08. NERVO – “Hold On” :: For the final track I leave you with this NERVO rager. breathy vocals. massive drops. awesome melodies.  you’re welcome.
