It is no secret that the Invisible Children office runs on Mumford & Sons. The minute the British band released their first album Sigh No More in 2009, you could hear it blasting from all offices, soundtracking our films, and inspiring some of our most crucial moments as an organization.
In the spring of 2011 for our 25 Event in Austin, our Mumford adoration was solidified when they played to a crowd of our most dedicated Texan supporters. If any of that was off your radar, remedy that immediately with the video here.
This summer, Mumford & Sons announced that they would be releasing their highly-anticipated sophomore album titled Babel on September 24. Today, Mumford member//IC bff Ben Lovett took to BBC’s Radio 1 to debut the first cut taken from the record – the charging single “I Will Wait.”
Our love is unconditional, but we can objectively state: “I Will Wait” is one of the best songs of the year. Fall in love with the studio version below:
Mumford & Sons continue to tour this summer and into the fall. You can find the dates here.
Babel can be pre-ordered off the band’s website here.
