About

We believe IC is not just a charity, but a group of people choosing to live differently. This blog highlights what we're up to as an organization, what inspires us, challenges us, and makes us laugh. It's our collective mind written down. We invite you to read, think critically, and speak openly.

INVISIBLE CHILDREN INC.

Invisible Children uses film, creativity and social action to end the use of child soldiers in Joseph Kony's rebel war and restore LRA-affected communities in central Africa to peace and prosperity.

Frontline Campaign: Halfway to $2 Million

In twenty-four hours, the Invisible Children community has raised over $100,000 to get to our benchmark goal of $1 million.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone and congratulate those who won special merchandise, trips, and Obama Chia Pets (yes – all were given away during our thirteen hour Livestream marathon).

We made the decision early Friday morning to not leave the office until we got halfway to the Frontline Campaign goal – and we don’t make promises we don’t keep.

As this is written, we stand at a total of $1,001,148 for the Protection Plan.  This is over halfway to our goal of raising $2 million for life-saving initiatives in Central Africa.

This first million is to, indeed, be celebrated.  But it is also to motivate.  We have eleven days to double that.  And it will happen.

Stay tuned and amazing work.  We’re halfway.
