About

We believe IC is not just a charity, but a group of people choosing to live differently. This blog highlights what we're up to as an organization, what inspires us, challenges us, and makes us laugh. It's our collective mind written down. We invite you to read, think critically, and speak openly.

INVISIBLE CHILDREN INC.

Invisible Children uses film, creativity and social action to end the use of child soldiers in Joseph Kony's rebel war and restore LRA-affected communities in central Africa to peace and prosperity.

Crowdrise makes donation page for Nate

Our friends at Crowdrise have created a Crowdrise project in honor of Nate. In following Nate’s lead of living for something greater than himself, we are continuing the work to which he was so faithfully dedicated.  Go here to donate.
Crowdrise began from Edward Norton’s idea to tap into the potential of social networking as a medium for productive action and advocacy. Crowdrise is about “volunteering, raising money for Charity and having the most fun in the world while doing it.”  The site is spunky, creative, dry, and inspiring all at once.  This article from the Wall Street Journal gives more of a context and background to the heart behind it all.

Crowdrise is great! Also found a good site http://www.itrulycare.com that seems to be a great socially good alternative, that picks up where CR leaves off.
