Boxed water is better
This is a pretty sweet idea, and I can’t believe that this is the first time it’s been tried. I mean, we use boxes to hold juice, milk, wine, and soup–so why not water?
Boxed Water is Better claims to be “part sustainable water company, part art project, part philanthropic project, and completely curious.” By selling water in boxes they could change the bottled water culture and seriously reduce the environmental havoc that a taste for spring water can wreak. Here’s how it works: first, it requires much less space (and consequently fuel) to transport unassembled cardboard boxes than empty plastic bottles. Second, the company has committed to giving 20% of the profits back to water and reforestation foundations. By reinvesting in it’s source, the company becomes sustainable. There’s more, but you’re better off reading it yourself at their website.
Apparently the company recently moved to L.A., so hopefully we’ll be seeing boxed water around these parts soon.

what about just paying for water period?!
how the hell did we all become convinced that we needed to buy water in these little tiny packages?

I Think Its A Great Idea Personally. People ARe Going TO Buy Water No Matter What. So Why Not Save The Worlds Pollution and And Put The Stuff In Boxes. Its Way More Eco Friendly And Much Easier To REcycle.<3

I agree with Shamana…Sure, boxed might be better than bottled but using tap water is better than buying it! And I’m not saying this coming from a “I want to save money” point of view…I’m saying this coming from a “Why are we promoting the privatization of water?” point of view….Think about it.

Keep buying water. That’s the only message behind this kind of companies. Then hire a good marketer and start selling your product.
I’ve made a little “variation sur theme” here on my blog.
