Test the accuracy of your global perceptions

This quiz from Pew’s Global Attitudes Project blew my mind. I thought that I was reasonably in touch with the global mood, but apparently not. This quiz highlights the difference between how Americans believe the rest of the world thinks and how the rest of the world actually thinks.

Three of the questions, to whet your appetite for enlightenment:

In France, what percentage of people say they have a favorable view of the United States?
a. 75%
b. 55%
c. 30%
d. 15%

What percentage of Russians think it is a great misfortune that the Soviet Union no longer exists?
a. 73%
b. 58%
c. 30%
d. 14%

What democratic principle is generally valued more in former communist countries?
a. Freedom of speech
b. Honest elections
c. A fair judicial system
d. Freedom of religion

You can do the entire quiz (12 questions) and learn the answers here.
