The Unsung Heroes

Sorry, girls. I had to do it.

Hayley, Holly, Tessa, Marissa and Natalie on hat day

The Schools for Schools interns are the unsung heroes of the program.  Some of you may know them as the people that continue to call, text, email and Facebook you even if you never get back to them.  They’ve been working non-stop for the duration of this year’s competition and they’re one of the main reasons we’ve been able to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars over the last 100 days to rebuild our partner schools.

They’ve pulled some interesting moves in their time here at the office.  They covered all of my office windows with post-it notes on two separate occasions (I was out of the office for a few days and told them to keep me posted…they did).  They also elved themselves and made a new mouspad for me, but you probably already guessed that.  They’re such an interesting group that I thought you all might enjoy a fun fact about each of them:

Hayley is the office doctor – she diagnoses people (including herself) on a daily basis

Holly actually has very good hygiene, though you’d never guess it by looking at this picture

Tessa is Lauren Henke’s little sister (Lauren is one of our Regional Managers)

Marissa is my favorite

Natalie totaled her Dodge Neon and managed to find and purchase its doppelganger within a week

They’re probably going to be bummed on me for this, but I have nothing but love for them.  They’re absolutely phenomenal, even when I neglect them.  What I’m trying to say is, thanks for everything.  I’m beyond sad to see you go, but psyched to see what you do with yourselves.  Good luck girls, I’ll miss you.

Absolutely! Thanks to all the Schools for Schools reps for all the work you put in. Even though you guys weren’t on tour, you’re a part of all the roadie teams. You put in a lot of hard work that isn’t always rewarded. No…it’s never rewarded. So thank you for all you do!
