About

We believe IC is not just a charity, but a group of people choosing to live differently. This blog highlights what we're up to as an organization, what inspires us, challenges us, and makes us laugh. It's our collective mind written down. We invite you to read, think critically, and speak openly.

INVISIBLE CHILDREN INC.

Invisible Children uses film, creativity and social action to end the use of child soldiers in Joseph Kony's rebel war and restore LRA-affected communities in central Africa to peace and prosperity.

Halloween Costumes Help IC

Every year Americans spend over seven billion celebrating Halloween while, across the globe, thousands suffer from sickness, hunger, disease, and fear.

CostumeStudio.com, an online megastore from GoodSociety with over 10,000 different costumes to choose from, is giving IC some of the Halloween pie. For each costume purchased at CostumeStudio.com, profits will be be donated toward enriching the lives of Uganda’s war-affected children. When you’re browsing the costumes, check out how much goes to IC…something around 30% or more.

And, seriously, they’ve got everything – from Count Chocula to a man-eating shark to embarassingly adorable dog costumes to an elephant in a tutu. I think I see a good creative idea or two for Schools for Schools a’comin….
