We believe IC is not just a charity, but a group of people choosing to live differently. This blog highlights what we're up to as an organization, what inspires us, challenges us, and makes us laugh. It's our collective mind written down. We invite you to read, think critically, and speak openly.

Schools for Schools: The Numbers are In

This year the stakes were raised. The competition expanded. Over 1,000 schools and 16,000 students committed to helping rebuild 10 of northern Uganda’s war-torn schools.

Together you raised $1,319,090.72, changing the reality of education for students halfway around the world. And while the competition may be over, many of you have told us your efforts aren’t stopping. Neither will ours.

The Schools for Schools website will continue to feature updates and reflect what you raise throughout the spring. So visit often and give fully. There’s still so much work to be done.

But before we move too far ahead, there are some pretty large thank yous we need to hand out. There are 10 schools and 10 students that went over the top to make an impact for their partner schools in Uganda. And while the votes were tight and dollars close, it’s time to unveil the winners of Schools for Schools Round Two.

GO HERE TO SEE THIS YEAR’S CLUSTER WINNERS AND GOLD HEROES.
